American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a Long Term Care (LTC) position in Potosi, MO, requiring at least 1 year of OTA experience in LTC or Rehab settings.

Details

• Long Term Care (LTC) facility setting
• Occupational Therapy unit
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Start time flexible between 6AM and 10AM as long as consistent and communicated with Director of Rehab
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment length
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Active COTA license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• MO state licensure required

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer treatment procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans
• Document treatment information and minutes in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Support and supervise students under OT guidance when applicable
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) may be accommodated
