American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN Flex Pool nurse for a day shift assignment requiring an active HI RN license and 2+ years of experience floating between medical and surgical units.

Details

• Flex RN role floating between various medical and surgical units
• Floating includes Medical Unit, Laulima (Surgical Acute) Unit, and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit
• Medical Unit has 77 beds with ratios of 1:6 days/evenings and 1:8 nights
• Laulima Unit has 18 beds with a 1:6 ratio
• Cardiovascular Unit has 15 beds with a 1:4 ratio
• Ratios may vary due to unexpected staff leaves
• 12-hour day shifts from 0645 to 1915
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• No guarantee of hours
• Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
• 2-10 years of experience required
• Documented proof of immunity required, medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care while floating across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units
• Orientation time provided for each unit
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to start of assignment
• Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
• Professional nursing attire required, including clean scrubs
