Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric CVICU RN with at least 18 months of pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience for a night shift assignment in a high-acuity cardiac ICU.

Details

• 24-bed pediatric cardiac ICU with a 12-bed overflow unit
• Patient population includes congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD patients
• Age range spans neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 18 months of pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric and young adult cardiac patients across ICU and stepdown levels of care
• Radius rule applies; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
