American Traveler is hiring an RN with OR circulating experience for a Level 1 trauma hospital's OR Float Pool, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Work in a 56-bed OR unit (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms within a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
• Adult patient population only, no pediatric cases
• Handles all case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• Excludes cardiac, transplant, and trauma/neuro service lines
• 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, scheduled 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM with variable days based on unit needs
• No block schedule available
• Late stay coverage required, up to four late stays expected during a 13-week period
• Could float between ORs within the facility but not between separate hospital locations

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required and must be on file at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Must have circulating experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Assignment length is fixed at 26 weeks with no shorter durations considered
• Limited time off approval; must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies for standard travel rate eligibility
