Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Neuro Critical Care Unit position requiring 2 years of neuro critical care experience and MD or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU), a Neuro ICU setting
• Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-op neurosurgical needs
• Rotating 7A/7P shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Required to work 3 of every 6 weekends
• On-call requirement of 2 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Float to areas of similar skill set such as ICU or IMC as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ACLS, Critical Care Certification, and trauma course completion preferred
• Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed count) required

Additional Information

• Provide specialized post-operative neurosurgical care to neurologically complex patients
• Interface between brain and other vital organ systems in patient care
• Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Strong candidates preferred given the complexity of this Main hospital campus assignment
