American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a critical access hospital Emergency Department role requiring 2 years of ER and MS experience and a MN state license.

Details

• Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department in a critical access hospital setting
• 89 staffed beds facility
• 3x12 shifts, Day (0700-1930) or Night (1900-0730), flexible scheduling
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratios: 1:4 on days, 1:6 on nights
• Float within scope required to meet facility needs
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active or pending Minnesota RN license required (MN is not a Compact state)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience and 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience required
• OB experience preferred
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience required
• Triage skills preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Prior charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Care for combined adult and pediatric emergency patients in a fast-paced ED environment
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Black scrubs required for RNs
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Not open to candidates living within 25 miles of the facility
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted per assignment, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at time of consideration
• Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting must be completed in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all candidates regardless of residency
• Required lab work and fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing to avoid cancellation
