American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN - Telemetry with 2+ years acute care RN experience and Epic proficiency required for a Med-Surg Tele unit.

Details

• Med-Surg Telemetry unit (3SE Tele) with 24 beds
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Mixed diagnoses patient population
• Night shift, 6:45pm-7:15am, every other weekend required
• Uses IV/PCA pumps, wound vac, and glucometer equipment
• Care involves trach, feeding tubes, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment
• EPIC EMR experience required
• RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration
• Support staff includes CRN, discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans
• Provides patient and family education related to care, treatment, and discharge planning
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
• Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
