American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN with at least 1 year of experience to provide monitored care for cardiac and stroke patients on a busy 54-bed unit.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a 54-bed cardiac facility
• Patient population includes heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, and chest pain, with occasional overflow medical patients
• Patients monitored both on-unit and remotely via telemetry, including cardiac drip management
• Typical patient ratios range 1:5-6, potentially up to 1:7 during call-ins
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (0700-1930)
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• No call requirements
• Floating required based on facility census and staffing needs
• Charting completed in Cerner PowerChart

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac telemetry experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Comfort with high patient ratios (up to 1:7) required
• Skills in cardiac drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and use of rapid response/code teams required

Additional Information

• Provide bedside and remote telemetry monitoring for cardiac and stroke patients
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration responsibilities
• Respond to dysrhythmias and utilize rapid response/code teams as needed
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted
• Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Former employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
• Required modules must be completed within the first week of the assignment
