Description

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR RN for an acute care cardiovascular operating room, requiring active CA RN licensure and prior CVOR and General OR experience.

Details

• Acute care setting in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• 1 OR suite with approximately 2 cases per week
• Will also work in Main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled, requiring General OR experience
• 2 circulating RNs per case
• EMR/charting systems: Cerner and Surginet
• 10-hour day shifts with every other weekend requirement
• CVOR call required, rotated separately from other RNs, with a 30-minute response time
• Floating limited to other OR specialties only
• Floor-specific orientation provided for one week or until comfortable
• Common case types include straightforward CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact), no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• CVOR and General OR experience required
• Scrubbing not required but considered a plus
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

• Provide circulating RN support for cardiovascular surgical cases and general OR cases as needed
• Charge RN manages daily case assignments
• Scrubs are provided
• Holiday coverage required
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility within the past year, though PRN staffing through outside firms is acceptable
