American Traveler is hiring an OR RN Circulator with 2+ years perioperative experience, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required, plus regular on-call rotation.

Details

• Perioperative nursing role in the operating room and other perioperative service areas
• Day shift schedule with 5x8-hour shifts per week
• Regular scheduled on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit required
• Cares for all patient populations undergoing surgical procedures

Requirements

• Active RN license with OR specialty required
• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Ability to work independently and make decisions based on measurable or verifiable criteria
• Ability to direct and supervise assigned personnel

Additional Information

• Acts as circulating nurse and patient advocate throughout the intraoperative surgical experience
• Responsible for protecting patients from injury caused by chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal sources
• Performs counting procedures to prevent unintended retained surgical items
• Provides direction and supervision to personnel assigned during procedures
