American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with an active MD or Compact license and recent interventional scrubbing experience for a day-shift assignment requiring on-call and weekend coverage.

Details

• Work across 2 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid OR
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Performs procedures including IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, structural interventions, PFO closures, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman
• Utilizes GE Innova IGS, Phillips, GE MacLab, IVUS, and FFR equipment with EPIC charting
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 6:30am-5:00pm, rotating Mon-Fri
• On-call required up to 13 weekdays as needed, 5pm-6am Mon-Thu
• Weekend coverage required, including on-call Friday 5pm through Monday 6am (3 weekends per contract)
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled, inclusive of on-call
• Floating required within scope with no restrictions
• Block scheduling and special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab/Interventional scrubbing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in ACT monitoring, cardioversion, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, sheath removal/monitoring, and 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Experience with procedural sedation monitoring, vascular closure systems, and topical hemostasis preferred
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, left and right heart catheterization, and stent placement
• Comfortable administering emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, and thrombolytics

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing cardiac cath lab and hybrid OR procedures
• Supports electrophysiology procedures and left atrial appendage closures
• Must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions, with travelers prioritized to float
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced local travel rate
• Locals under 50 miles from the facility are only accepted for positions marked as accepting locals
• Returning travelers must have at least a 6-month break from the health system before returning
• Former staff must be separated for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO request of 7 days; requests over 4 consecutive days require an additional week added to the contract
• One major holiday off may be permitted during the winter season depending on location and unit
