Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with inpatient case management background to support complex cases across the system, both in-office and virtually.

Details

• Case Management department supporting complex cases across the system and in the community, primarily via virtual/telephonic contact
• Float coverage required between offices in San Francisco and Emeryville as needed
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:25
• Epic charting system required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, including inpatient case management experience
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, concurrent and continued stay reviews, utilization review, prior authorizations, and application of InterQual criteria
• Utilizes CMS, DRG, HIPAA, and Joint Commission regulatory standards in daily practice
• Behavioral health, ED, ICU, PICU, and SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs specialty experience preferred
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• First-time travelers considered if travel case management experience requirement is met
