American Traveler is hiring an RN for the Emergency Department, requiring at least one year of ED experience and current BLS/ACLS certifications in a Level trauma setting.

Details

• Adult Emergency Department in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Trauma and travel required
• Cares for a variety of patients ranging from simple to complex health problems

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact/eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Minimum of one year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, and techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes as necessary
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Coordinates discharge planning and communicates care plans with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no flexibility for start date pushes
• Returning travelers may extend once up to a total of 26 weeks, then require a 6-month separation before reapplying
