American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN specializing in Open Heart procedures, requiring active MA licensure and circulating experience in multiple cardiac-related specialties.

Details

• Operating Room setting within the Cardiovascular Institute (CVI)
• Focus on Open Heart, cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic (robotic) procedures
• Circulating experience required in at least 3 of the following: cardiac, vascular, endovascular, or thoracic (robot) surgeries
• Scrub experience highly preferred
• Schedule options include four 10-hour shifts (6:45a-5:15p primary, rotating to 9p-7:30p) or five 8-hour shifts (6:45a-3:15p, rotating to 11a-7:30p)
• Requires one weekend of call per month for Cardiac or Endovascular coverage (Friday 7pm to Monday 7am) with a 30-minute response time
• Requires one short call shift weekly (2-4 hours, various times) and one CVI call night per week (7p-7a) for cardiac or endovascular emergencies
• Eligible and expected to work holidays while on contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• 1-3 years of related RN work experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred
• Required to complete Tele/ECG and Medication testing
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care for complex cardiac and vascular surgical cases
• Work as part of a specialized cardiovascular surgical team
• Weekly orientation available (typically every Monday, barring holidays)
• Radius rule requires candidates live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Previous employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility before returning
