American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center, requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior OR experience.

Details

• Ambulatory Surgery Center setting with 4 ORs and 1 procedure room
• Performs surgeries in Urology, GYN, Plastics, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GI, Pain Management, Breast, and ENT specialties
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• May float to a secondary campus location if not needed at the primary site
• Uses the AECIS charting system
• Scrubs provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active PA license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Experience with 1:1 patient ratios
• Skilled in procedures including abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, fat grafting, ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, colporrhaphy, D&C, bunionectomy, cataract extraction, cystoscopy, colonoscopy, hernia repair, mastectomy, and septoplasty/rhinoplasty
• Knowledge of electrosurgical units, fire safety, latex allergy protocols, laser and radiation safety, specimen handling, and Universal Protocol (time-out) procedures
• Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties within an ambulatory surgical setting
• Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at a differentiated rate
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; no additional time off requests accepted afterward
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
• Candidates should provide a range of 3-5 days of interview availability for prioritized scheduling
