American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a float pool role requiring MD or compact RN license and psychiatric nursing experience across all age populations.

Details

• Float pool position covering 19 inpatient behavioral health units serving children, adolescents, and adults
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 11:00 to 23:30
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across all age populations
• Uses Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required in-hand at time of consideration (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience required
• 6 months to 1 year experience in psychiatric/behavioral health setting preferred
• BLS certification required
• Sunrise EMR experience preferred
• Inpatient and locked unit treatment setting experience required
• Strong clinical judgement, assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland via livescan prior to start

• May be required to serve as charge RN during shifts without additional charge pay
• Provide nursing care across diverse psychiatric patient populations including children, adolescents, and adults
• Navy blue scrubs required

• Orientation occurs every other Thursday with associated non-billable training modules completed during orientation and annually
