American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool RN for a night shift/every-other-weekend position requiring willingness to float across 8 units and 2 years of travel nursing experience.

Details

• Float pool role covering 8 Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital (Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow)
• Patient population includes ED border patients, medication administration in the acute mental health unit, and non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/eves and up to 6:1 on nights
• Units range from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every-other-weekend requirement
• 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract for staff on day/eve schedules
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a traveling nurse required
• Telemetry monitoring skills including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read telemetry strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
