American Traveler is hiring a Level I Trauma-experienced PACU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring PA or compact RN licensure and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the PACU unit of a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
• Patient population includes both adults and pediatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours (6:00am-6:30pm pre-op or 8:00am-8:30pm post-op)
• On-call requirements include 2 weekday on-call shifts and 1 weekend 12-hour on-call shift within a 6-week schedule, including 1 summer and 1 winter holiday on-call
• Possible floating to Tabor GI or pain center if needed
• Uses Cerner Aecis Surgi Net charting system
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or compact) required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Critical Care or PACU required
• Level I Trauma experience and ICU background required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• SICU, MICU, and CTICU experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in pre-op and post-op settings
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; RTO requested after submission will not be accepted
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local rate differential
