American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with strong telemetry experience for a 24-week acute care assignment requiring 2 years of experience and Rapid Response background.

Details

• Mixed Med/Surg-Tele unit within a high acuity acute care hospital setting of 210 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 1:6 patient ratio
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating required within scope
• No block scheduling permitted
• Uses Meditech charting system
• Any scrub color permitted

Requirements

• Active RN license (FL or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg-Tele experience required
• Strong telemetry experience required
• Rapid Response team experience required
• Total joints experience required
• 1:6 patient ratio experience required

Additional Information

• Care for a high acuity mixed Med/Surg-Tele patient population
• Mandatory attendance for clinical orientation week, requiring 5 shifts (36-40 hours)
• Plan for at least 4 hours to complete training modules prior to start date
• No RTO permitted during the first or last week of assignment
• Holiday coverage required per facility Holiday RTO restrictions, with increased bill rate weeks available to cover holiday needs
• No RTO permitted on 10/31 or 11/27
• If 1-2 holidays fall within the contract, must work 1 holiday eve (12/24 or 12/31) and 1 holiday (10/31, 11/26, 11/27, 12/25, or 1/1)
• If 3 holidays fall within the assignment, must work 1 holiday eve and 2 holidays from the applicable list
• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
