Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse Case Manager for a Specialty Surgery service line, requiring an active Alaska RN license at time of submittal and at least one year of nursing experience.

Details

• Ambulatory outpatient clinic setting providing patient-centered nursing care across the continuum of care
• Case management and utilization review responsibilities within a specialty surgery service line
• Monday through Friday schedule, 0800-1700
• 13-week assignment length
• Floats to other departments or assignments as needed

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Alaska required at time of submittal
• BLS certification required
• Case Management certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Additional Information

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
• Administers medications and treatments per provider orders and policy
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, referrals, and follow-up services
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Advocates for patients and helps them navigate the healthcare system
• Provides culturally responsive, patient-centered care and education
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities
• Assignment start date is contingent on fingerprint card processing, beginning no less than 6 weeks after cards are received
• Facility does not provide housing or transportation
