American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse - Telemetry Float for a night shift position in Worcester, MA, requiring an active MA RN license and 2 years of telemetry experience.

Details

• Tele Float role within a hospital setting, floating to all telemetry units as needed
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• EOW/EOH scheduling requirement
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations - must be able to work all 7 days
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, chest tube care, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and PCA management
• Ortho trauma and traumatic brain injury experience preferred
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Float to all telemetry units within the facility as assigned
• Must complete a pass/fail telemetry competency exam during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed
• Must also complete a pass/fail medication exam during orientation
• RNs working in Mother Baby/Postpartum, Ambulatory, OR, SACU, or Psych units are exempt from the telemetry exam requirement
• First-time travelers accepted if they have prior floating experience
• Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius
• Previous employees must have a 12-month separation from the health system before returning
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
