Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week day-shift assignment requiring at least 1-2 years of ICU experience and current OR RN licensure.

Details

• ICU unit within a short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required at least every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units and sister facilities based on skill set may be required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license, OR RN license required
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1-2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certification: CCRN
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Must disclose any prior employment history with a Providence facility, including dates and location

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across genitourinary/renal, respiratory/thoracic, neurological, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal patient populations
• Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Administer emergency medications and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Scrubs may be any color
• No parking fee at this facility

• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
