American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 26-week day-shift assignment requiring cardiovascular and open heart/balloon pump experience.

Details

• ICU setting caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Unit averages 24 census with 28 beds and a 1:2 patient ratio
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No call requirement
• Self-scheduling available
• Epic EMR experience required
• Royal blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• In-person VIP, MAB, or CPI certification required (online courses not accepted)
• Community hospital experience required
• Cardiovascular, open heart, and balloon pump experience required
• Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care, IV starts, ventilator care, ABG interpretation, and suctioning
• Advanced onsite EKG competency exam required prior to start (80% minimum passing score, two attempts allowed)
• References required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct ICU nursing care to adults and geriatric patients requiring cardiovascular and critical care management
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• All time off requests must be submitted with the initial application and cannot be changed once confirmed
• Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Previous staff considered for return on a case-by-case basis
