American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with Med/Surg and Step Down experience for a hospital in Oklahoma City requiring a compact or OK RN license.

• Hospital-based Medicine Specialty / Med-Surg overflow unit
• 3x12-hour day shifts per week, totaling 36 hours weekly
• May be floated to any area of the hospital as needed
• Requires Med/Surg and Step Down experience

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact/eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to a group of assigned patients with varying acuity levels
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Assist physicians with exams and minor diagnostic procedures
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
