American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU night shift position requiring CT or compact RN license and ICU experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills.

Details

• ICU setting with adult patient population
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00-07:30, 36-hour weeks accepted
• 8-week contract length
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Floating required to MS/Tele and Tele units within scope of practice
• Uses Accudose medication system and Cerner documentation system
• Utilizes SBAR communication method

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring required
• Central line care and management experience required
• Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience caring for ventilated patients and ventilator management required
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Follows infection prevention protocols including isolation precautions and PPE use
• Blue scrubs required
• Candidates within 75 miles are considered local and may be offered at a reduced rate
