Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring a Maine or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent experience.

Details

• 45-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes medical-surgical and cardiac acute inpatient cases
• Patient ratios are 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 during nights
• Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• One call shift required per 8-week block
• Floating up to 25 miles between facilities as needed
• EPIC EMR used

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Telemetry certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac, telemetry, acute inpatient, and medical-surgical experience required
• IMC experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide care for medical-surgical and cardiac telemetry patients in an acute inpatient setting
• Scrubs may be any color; hoodies and earbuds are not permitted on the unit
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and are not eligible for the travel pay rate
• Local candidates are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this upon consideration
