American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit/Oncology position requiring 2+ years acute PCU experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Oncology PCU/Medical-Surgical mix unit with 33 beds
• Patient ratios: 5:1 (Medical-Surgical), 4:1 (PCU), 3-4:1 (chemo)
• Cares for patients with lymphoma, leukemia, and VATs procedures
• Administers chemotherapy, blood products, and immunotherapy medications
• Utilizes skills including IVs, PCA, CPAP, central lines, peritoneal dialysis, and wound vac
• RN must read telemetry and titrate medications accordingly
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Night shift schedule: 6:45pm-7:15am
• Works 3 shifts per week, 36 hours weekly
• Requires every other weekend

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Oncology experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as mentor/preceptor
• Facilitates patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to support patient and family needs
• Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives
