American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Pediatric OR position at a Level 1 Trauma pediatric facility, requiring TX or compact RN licensure and both circulating and scrub nurse skills.

Details

• Peds Surgery unit within a Level 1 Trauma pediatric facility
• 14 operating rooms plus 2 procedure rooms
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Night shift schedule working Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 18:30-07:00
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Coordinate care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary surgical team to support efficient workflows and communication
• Perform circulating nurse duties including monitoring patient status and documenting care in the EHR
• Provide scrub nurse support including maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
