American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room for a travel assignment requiring an active NJ or compact RN license and the ability to scrub and circulate on robotics, ortho, neuro, and general surgery cases.

Details

• Operating Room department within a hospital setting
• Must be able to scrub and circulate on robotics, orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery cases
• Performs pre-operative assessments, post-operative assessments, and pre-admission testing evaluations
• Schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (11a-12a)
• 36 hours per week
• On-call responsibilities required
• Must be willing to float, including to a sister hospital nearby
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Delivers competent nursing care across all patient age groups from pediatric to geriatric
• Performs thorough, systematic patient assessments and maintains accurate documentation
• Individualizes patient care according to surgical procedure and type of anesthesia
• Provides patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and instructions
• Evaluates pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness based on procedure, age, and health status
• Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and two-patient identifier verification
• Contributes to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on need and condition changes
