Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a CVICU position requiring an Oregon RN license, prior travel experience, and strong cardiovascular ICU skills.

Details

• Work in a blended Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVCU) with 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds
• Care for cardiac patients aged 16 and older with diagnoses including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, CABG, valve repair/replacement, VATS/thoracotomy, IABP therapy, Impella insertion, post-PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmia, STEMI/NSTEMI, and EKOS
• Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract length
• Constant floating required between CVICU, ICU, and PCU units
• May float to an affiliate hospital located approximately 15 minutes away
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license (pending acceptable at time of consideration, must be in hand prior to start)
• Oregon CNA license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU/ICU experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator management, and ABG interpretation
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, IABP, Impella, and post-cardiac surgery care

• Candidates may only be submitted to one unit within the health system
• Former permanent employees of the health system are ineligible to apply for six months after termination
• RTO must be finalized prior to consideration; additional RTO requests after submission may affect contract status
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Refusing to float to the affiliate hospital may result in contract cancellation
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
