American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Neuro unit position on night shift, open to candidates with no prior experience required.

Details

• Work in a 22-bed intermediate care unit with mixed medical diagnoses
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1 with 24/7 unit leadership support
• Night shift schedule, 6:30p-7a, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment/technology
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and nursing rounds
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized treatment planning
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and pressure ulcer monitoring
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
