American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Neuro intermediate unit position offering 12-hour day shifts and no experience requirement.

Details

• 22-bed intermediate care unit with mixed medical diagnoses
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1 with 24/7 unit leadership
• 1st shift schedule, 6:30a-7p
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• 0.9 FTE position

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required per department compliance
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills needed in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and nursing rounds
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks to other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Promote a positive, healing environment through evidence-based nursing practice
