Description

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for an inpatient geriatric dementia unit, requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Inpatient geriatric behavioral health unit specializing in dementia with behavioral disturbances
• 24-bed unit with a 1:7 patient ratio
• Geriatric patient population (age 50+)
• Uses Medhost EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
• Current BLS and Handle With Care (HWC) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience working with dementia patients required
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to geriatric patients with dementia and behavioral disturbances
• Calm demeanor and strong interpersonal skills preferred to work well with patients and team
• Solid color scrubs required and facial piercings not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
