American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit float pool position requiring KS/MO or compact RN licensure and telemetry experience.

• Float pool position covering Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU units and telemetry, cardiac telemetry, and neuro stepdown departments
• No home unit assignment; floating required across roughly 5 units and other metro campuses as needed
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45-07:15)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Weekend requirement of 8 shifts per 6-week schedule (combination of Fri/Sat/Sun)
• Holiday shift and charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• No on-call requirements
• Uses 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell equipment
• Virtual Nurse support available

Requirements

• Active KS or MO RN license (or compact) required in hand
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• 1-2 years of recent specialty experience required, with a full year in-specialty experience within the past 12 months and no employment gap greater than 90 days
• Experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown settings required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and on-unit telemetry monitoring
• Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care required
• Preferred skills include sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access, blood product administration, and central line care
• Two professional references required (one supervisor-level or above, one may be charge RN), both from the past year

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry and PCU-level care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, wound care, ETOH, suicidal ideation, renal failure, AFib, GIB, stroke, and COVID
• Charge RN responsibilities may be assigned as needed
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position

• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days, finalized at time of submission
