American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry unit position requiring the ability to read tele strips and a minimum of 2 years' unit and 2 years' travel experience.

Details

• Work in a 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Care for a patient population including cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psych, substance use disorder, GU, and GI cases
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on evenings and nights
• Straight night shift schedule with every other weekend requirement
• Utilizes Epic EMR for charting
• Floating required to applicable units as needed
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in one location required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a traveler required
• Skilled in cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpreting tele strips
• Experience with cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips for a diverse patient population
• Administer cardiac drips and manage high-flow oxygen therapy as needed
• Utilize TR bands as part of cardiac care protocols
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston are accepted at a reduced rate compared to standard travel pay
