American Traveler is hiring a Cardiothoracic ICU RN with NC or compact RN licensure and at least one year of nursing experience for a hospital-based cardiac and vascular care unit.

Details

• Cardiothoracic ICU within a hospital's Center for Health and Vascular Care
• Interdisciplinary care for patients with complex cardiac and vascular disease
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm, three days per week
• 0.9 FTE with 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum one year of nursing experience
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required
• BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex cardiac and vascular conditions
• Coordinate patient care using the nursing process while reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director
• Perform bedside point of care testing as part of the patient care plan
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on care planning, evaluation, and discharge planning
• Participate in patient and family education based on assessed learning needs and readiness
• Engage in unit performance improvement activities and cost-effective care initiatives
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
