American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP position requiring a CA RN license and proficiency in cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, including on-call coverage for emergencies.

• Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology setting
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (0700-1730), Monday through Friday
• On-call rotation required, including nights, weekends, and any day of the week for emergencies
• Any EMR/charting system experience accepted

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required unless otherwise noted
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience required, including coronary angiograms
• Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella, and ECMO required
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and rapid response to emergent cardiac procedures
• Skills required include 12-lead EKG interpretation, procedural sedation monitoring, sheath removal, vascular closure devices, and dysrhythmia management
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular, vascular, and radiology procedures
• Responsible for patient assessment, preparation, sedation management, and recovery before, during, and after invasive procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care
• Participate in an on-call rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
