American Traveler is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a Mod/Severe Affective Needs elementary classroom requiring experience with highly impacted students with severe emotional disabilities.

Details

• Non-clinical setting in an elementary school (K-5th grade)
• Special education classroom serving students with Mod/Severe Affective Needs
• Caseload beginning with 11 students, subject to change due to transitional housing and district enrollment
• Classroom supported by three experienced Special Program Paraprofessionals
• Additional support from full-time admin, school psychologist, social worker, Social Emotional Learning Specialist, and school psychologist intern
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM (40 hours per week)

Requirements

• Experience working with highly impacted students with severe emotional disabilities required
• Strong collaborative skills to work closely with paraprofessionals and the Special Education team
• License required if applicable
• Colorado CBI and FBI fingerprinting clearance required upon contract signing
