Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for night shift and every-other-weekend coverage at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring active MA RN licensure and tele stripe reading proficiency.

Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
• Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every-other-weekend requirement
• 36 or 48 hour contract options available
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg areas
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
