Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for night shift and every-other-weekend coverage requiring 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience and active MA RN licensure.

Details

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a), does not rotate
• 36 or 48 hour options available with every-other-weekend requirement
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Telemetry competency required, must be able to read tele strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
