American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Ambulatory Outpatient Family Medicine position requiring BLS certification and at least 2 years of clinic or acute care experience.

Details

• Outpatient family medicine clinic setting with 20 rooms total
• Serves 60-80 patients per day across the lifespan, from birth to geriatrics, with some OB patients
• Patient mix includes 35% well visits, 15% acutely sick, and chronic disease management
• Primary duties include phone triage, in-basket management, and medication refills
• May administer adult vaccinations, room patients, and take vitals as needed
• Occasionally starts IVs for patients requiring IV fluids
• Uses Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Day shift schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
• No weekend rotation, on-call, holiday, or floating requirements

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of clinic or inpatient/acute care experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required for a strong RN candidate
• Must respond to emergency situations occurring within the clinic
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• At least one professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN required

• Support team includes MAs, patient care representatives, a lead nurse, site supervisor, PT, X-ray, and a diabetic educator on Tuesdays
• New hires receive about one week of orientation with the lead RN, with additional time available if needed
• Scrubs of any color permitted
