American Traveler is hiring a Procedural RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least one year of Neuro, Vascular, or General IR experience.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting
• Provides nursing care in Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR specialty areas
• Assists physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State or multistate compact eNLC)
• BLS certification (AHA) required upon hire
• ACLS certification (AHA) required within 6 months of hire
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Minimum of one year of RN experience required
• Experience in Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR preferred
• NIHSS certification required

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatment responses
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, intervening as necessary
• Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Oversees treatment provided by technicians and other service providers and delegates tasks to support staff
• Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travelers may extend one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying after reaching this limit
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked
