American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER Charge RN for a multi-function Emergency Department requiring Cerner experience and prior travel assignment history.

• Emergency Department setting with multi-function coverage including Geriatric, Peds, and Psych ED populations
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call requirements
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active MD RN license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• ENCP and TNCC certifications preferred
• 2+ years of ED Charge RN experience required
• 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
• Additional experience with Stroke/TNK administration required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Comfortable working across Geriatric, Pediatric, and Psych ED populations
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and administering emergency medications
• Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and triage
• Blood product administration and central line care/management experience preferred
• Ventilator patient care experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a combined adult/pediatric ED with charge responsibilities
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract
• Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Accepts local candidates within 60 miles at a lower rate
