American Traveler is hiring an RN Perioperative Circulator for the Adult Surgery unit, requiring at least one year of acute operating room experience and current CNOR eligibility preferred.

Details

• Adult Surgery unit within an acute operating room setting
• Night shift schedule with 40 hours per week across 5 eight-hour shifts
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room environment, with at least 6 months in a Level 1 trauma center required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN or higher preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN standards and professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Full date of birth and full Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures
• Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care in the operating room, individualizing care based on patient health status, age, and procedure type
• Responsible for ongoing evaluation and documentation of care using the nursing process
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding steps including drug screens and background checks must begin immediately upon offer
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer due to compliance requirements
• Extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
