American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a Coronary Care Unit night shift assignment requiring recent ICU experience and specialized cardiac equipment skills.

Details

• Work in a 26-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
• Unit staffed with 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia equipment
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience required
• Experience with heart catheterizations, balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia protocols, and cardioversion
• Experience with central lines and medication drips
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Prior experience in a large facility ICU unit preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac and ICU patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions
• Collaborate with a team including RNs, Charge Nurses, and Patient Care Techs
• Best suited for driven, organized, and efficient nurses with a positive and engaged attitude
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
