American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for a Med/Surg Tele step-down unit requiring stepdown and tracheostomy experience with an active RN or compact license.

Details

• Med Specialty Step Down unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification issued by AHA
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Stepdown experience required
• Tracheostomy experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
• NIHSS certification required
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to patients with a range of health conditions from simple to complex
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments and notes changes in physician orders
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administers medications and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans with patients and families and coordinates discharge information
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to be eligible for consideration
• Workers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks unless otherwise agreed, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines and will not accommodate pushed start dates
• Onboarding requirements including drug screens and background checks must begin immediately upon offer
