American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) with LTC or SNF experience for a 13-week travel contract at a long-term care facility in Oregon, MO.

Details

• Long-term care (LTC) / skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
• Day shift, Monday through Friday with flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, to be kept consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation
• No weekends required unless a holiday falls on a weekday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active OTA license (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required; new graduates with Level II fieldwork experience will be considered
• LTC or SNF setting experience required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Adherence to NBCOT, AOTA, and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

Additional Information

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding cognitive and/or physical disorders
• Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and accurately record treatment minutes
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• May supervise and support students under the guidance of the supervising Occupational Therapist
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
