American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with LTC or SNF experience for a 13-week contract in a Long Term Care setting in Mound City, MO.

Details

• Long Term Care (LTC) setting
• Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with no weekend or on-call requirements
• Flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation
• 35 hours per week

Requirements

• Active Missouri OT license required; compact license accepted — license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
• Experience in an LTC or SNF setting required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
• Monitor and document patient progress, treatment minutes, and discharge summaries in the electronic documentation system
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Supervise and support OT assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA standards and state practice acts throughout professional practice
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
