American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room with a minimum of 5 years of OR experience and an active NC or compact RN license for a Level 3 Trauma center.

Details

• Work in a 19-suite Operating Room department (17 rooms blocked) within a Level 3 Trauma, Stroke Center of Excellence, and Bariatric Center of Excellence facility
• Facility also holds Chest Pain Center, Advanced Spine Surgery Certification, and Bariatric Center of Excellence designations
• Average of 50 surgical cases performed per day
• Surgical specialties include trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, and plastics
• 12-hour Day Shift schedule (0700-1900), 36 hours per week
• No floating required
• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend, which may be scheduled shift or call coverage
• Call requirement averages 6 shifts per 6-week schedule with a 45-minute response time, covering 11p-7a or 7a-7p/7p-7a on weekends
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred but not required
• Minimum of 5 years of OR experience required
• Experience circulating in a broad range of surgical specialties including trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, and plastics
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of one professional reference dated within the last year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Provide circulating RN coverage across a high-volume OR with 50 average daily cases
• Supported by Service Line Clinical Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Educators, ORAs, Unit Secretaries, and Tech Engineers
• Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) plus 2 days of departmental orientation
• Holiday coverage required for 75% of holidays
• RTO requests subject to manager approval
• Scrubs provided and free parking available
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Previous employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
