American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and Illinois RN licensure.

Details

• Inpatient Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for the obstetric patient population including labor, delivery, and surgical delivery cases
• Utilizes fetal monitoring equipment for intrapartum care
• Uses Epic charting system
• Night shift schedule: 7:30pm-7:00am, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend shifts required
• No holiday shifts required
• No floating requirements specified

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications through the American Heart Association
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Skilled in safety reporting, documentation, fetal monitoring, medication administration, patient education, and intrapartum care

Additional Information

• Provides direct care to inpatient obstetric patients including assessment, care planning, and intervention
• Monitors fetal well-being and administers medications specific to the obstetric population
• Delivers patient education tailored to the obstetric population
• Participates in intrapartum care during labor, delivery, and surgical delivery
• Maintains accurate documentation and communicates effectively with the healthcare team
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning to this health system
